Wineries

Richard Honikman has designed three wineries in the Cape.

For many years Richard Honikman has been a wine enthusiast. Designing wineries has developed this interest in wine and winemaking (now passed on to his son who has a small wine farm in the Californian wine valley, Sanoma.)

·         Longridge Winery.  When Richard Honikman was asked to design Longridge Winery, near Somerset West, part of the brief was that the front elevation of the winery should be suitable for use as the company’s logo.  See the logo below. LongridgeWinery is on the R44 and is open to visitors.

·         Tarentaal Winery. This is a boutique winery near Stellenbosch. It is not open to the public.

·         Elim Community Winery. Concept plans for the Elim Community Winery have been finalised and co-investors are being sought. These plans were developed with the financial support of the South African Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Completed factories and offices designed by Richard Honikman have ranged from a dye house, button factory, threads factory, warehouse and office block for the ACA Group, an office block for Kohler/Nampak, and numerous projects for the Seardel Group and for Gantech.
